Michael Anthony

I started out here in Chicago back in the 60’s playing the Rush Street scene. I have recorded for many different record labels including Dunwich in Chicago, Columbia and Playboy records in Los Angeles. I lived in L.A. for 20 years and played every different musical venue imaginable, including American Bandstand, Fillmore West, Whiskey a Go-Go, Troubadour, Madam Wong’s, Newport Pop Festival, and McCormick Place six times, the first time as opening act for the Dave Clark 5. Some of the groups I performed with are the following: Soul Brothers, Four Winds, Gentrys, Rovin' Kind, Illinois Speed Press, Bo Didley, Mambo Spud, The Attitude, Bombay Alley Blues Band, Soul Statement. Since my return to my home town, I have played with some excellent blues, funk and rock bands performing in summer fests, at Cellular Field, the United Center, and for Rooster Records in Homewood. As a composer with many published songs, some of my new music is available for down load on Bandzoogle.
